Task Force NYX
August 2022 marked a year since the world watched helplessly as the Afghanistan government collapsed, and Kabul fell. The lives of Afghan women — including journalists, politicians and women’s rights activists, were immediately put into peril.
Many of them bravely refused to give up the rights and opportunities which they had dedicated their lives to preserving, and took to the streets and social media to raise awareness of the risks they faced. Naza decided to support Task Force Nyx, a nimble, meticulous and effective all-volunteer team which has supported over 300 at-risk Afghans with emergency assistance and provided permanent resettlement pathways for 125 others to Spain, Belgium, Canada, Brazil, and the United States. By providing urgent funding and partnering with the organisation for an awareness campaign, she hopes their work together is only just beginning.
